Pablo Carreno Busta v Albert Ramos- Vinalos Head to Head
This will be the fourth meeting between the players. Carreno Busta leads the head-to-head 2-1. Their last meeting was on the hard courts of Shanghai, which Carreno Busta won in 2017.

Rusty Carreno Busta Looking Better Each Day
Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta has been in good form in recent times, most recently a solid 2020 season where he had a 20-12 record, which included a run to the semifinal of the U.S. Open for the second time in his career.
After a decent ATP Cup, where he had a good 2-1 record for Spain, it was an unfortunate end to his Australian Open, pulling out in his third round encounter against Grigor Dimitrov with injury and missing most of the rest of the hard court season.
A return in Dubai saw him eliminated early against the in-form Marton Fucosvics, but he has done well since the start of the clay here this week. Being top-seeded, after a first round bye, he did well to make the semi-finals dropping between four and five games each match and looking good for a title run here this weekend.

Most Comfortable on Clay, Ramos-Vinalos Has Deep Run On Mind
33-year old Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinalos was once ranked as high as number 17 in the world. A strong and consistent clay courter, Ramos-Vinalos is the winner of two ATP titles in his career and given how he has looked on clay this year, will be hoping for title number three this weekend.
The world number 47 did not have a strong start to the season, with indifferent outings Down Under at the ATP 250 and at the Australian Open. But, back on his favorite surface, he had good runs at Cordoba and Buenos Aires and both times falling short in the latter stages to one of the Cerundolo brothers.
After an indifferent outing on the hard courts of Dubai, it has been back on clay for Ramos-Vinalos this week for the start of a long run on the dirt. It has surprisingly been a more challenging week that anticipated for the clay veteran given the opponents he has faced. Having been pushed to three sets in each of his rounds against none too challenging opposition, the Spaniard will be hoping he gets off a stronger start in his semi-final encounter
Carreno Busta v Ramos-Vinalos Prediction and Tip
Ramos-Vinalos is a seasoned clay veteran, while Carreno Busta is returning from an injury break and a little rusty. This has the making of a tight contest, but the higher ranked Spaniard is looking better every match and should prevail in a close three- setter.
Tip: Carreno Busta To Win In Three Sets: 3/1 (bet365)
