Cameron Norrie v Filip Krajinovic Head to Head
The pair have never met before. This will be the first match between the 29-year old Serb, and Norrie, who is three years younger.

Norrie Coming off Estoril Final
Norrie comes into Madrid off the back of losing his second ever ATP Final in Estoril on Sunday, although he pushed clay court specialist Albert Ramos Vinolas very close, leading by a set and a break before eventually going down to defeat in a third set tie-break.
Nevertheless, he can look back with a good deal of satisfaction on his week’s work, having defeated both Christian Garin and Marin Cilic en route to that final.
And it continued his impressive 2021 form – only Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev have won more matches than him so far this year.
Despite that run, Norrie is better known as a hard court player, so it remains to be seen whether his achievements in Portugal were a flash in the pan or a sign that he is developing into an all-court player.

Krajinovic Hoping to Live up to Ranking
Krajinovic is the number two ranked Serbian player just now, behind Novak Djokovic and just ahead of Dusan Lajovic.
He has yet to win a senior ATP title, but did enjoy a great deal of success on the junior tours, a lot of it on clay where he won 10 events, and lost in a further 12 finals.
2021 has seen him make steady progress but there have been no spectacular results so far, although he has made the third round on three occasions – at the Australian Open, in Monte Carlo, and then, on home soil, in Belgrade.
The last event he contested was the Munich Open where he enjoyed a first-round walkover, before losing to the German Jan-Lennard Struff in three sets.
This is the first time he is contesting the Madrid Masters.
Norrie v Krajinovic Prediction and Tip
Despite Norris success in Estoril, he is not known for his prowess on clay, whereas it is Krajinovic’s preferred surface. The Serb should prevail against Norrie, who may be tired anyway after his exploits in Portugal. .
