Grigor Dimitrov v Marcos Giron Head to Head
This will be a first-career meeting between Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and USA’s Marcos Giron.

Can Dimitrov Take Advantage of Open Fourth Quarter?
Grigor Dimitrov could be the biggest beneficiary of a generous draw in the fourth quarter. Naturally, you would assume either Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic would occupy the top two spots among the seedings.
However, Nadal has dropped down to World No. 3 thanks in part to the absurd rankings criteria. Medvedev has bumped into second. And Dimitrov is projected to meet the Russian in the fourth round. That could fail to materialize, and it could be largely due to Medvedev’s inability to navigate his way in a dangerous minefield that includes Reilly Opelka.
Dimitrov has a few curveballs himself, not least the 22nd seed Cristian Garin who is a potential third-round opponent.
The Bulgarian has recorded improving results at the clay Slam in the last few seasons. Last year he made it to the second week for the first time before losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas.
He opens up against a man making his second straight appearance at Roland Garros.

Giron Falls to Cobolli Prior to Roland Garros
For Marcos Giron, losing to World No. 429 at the Parma Open is not the most ideal way to prepare for your first-round match at the French Open.
Giron lost the Italian teenager Flavio Cobolli in three sets just a week ago, and comes to Paris short on match wins on clay. He won three matches on the surface, with a pair of those in the qualifiers of the Madrid Masters. The American will put the finishing touches to his French Open preparations on the practice courts.
His form since leaving Australia has been somewhat modest, to say the least. He has struggled immensely to carve out wins. His inconsistency could lead him to lose out on his status as a top 100 player unless he can manage to string wins and fast.
Can he pull off the upset against Grigor Dimitrov?
Dimitrov v Giron Prediction and Tip
The Bulgarian is a heavy favorite in this one. He is the better mover, better finisher, and possesses an all-round game. Expect him to roll into the second round.
