Emil Ruusuvouri v Mackenzie McDonald Head to Head
The pair have never met before. This will be the first match between the 22-year-old Finn, and the American, who is four years older.

Ruusuvouri Has a Poor Clay Record
Ruusuvouri is playing in his second French Open having been knocked out in the first round last year.
He is primarily known as a hard court player, with all ten of his titles in the junior tours coming on that surface. His one clay court final in 2019 he lost.
The Finn is at a career high singles ranking, although that was mainly based on his results earlier in the year, when he reached the fourth round in Miami, eventually losing to Jannik Sinner.
Since witching to European clay, he has lost all three matches he has played – suffering first round defeats in Munich and Parma, and failing to qualify for Madrid.

Qualifier McDonald Hoping to Push On
McDonald is playing in the main draw of the French Open for the third successive year, and for the fourth time in all, though he had to come through three rounds of qualifying to get to this stage.
He began by defeating Thanasi Kokkinakis of Australia, then Renzo Livo of Argentina, and finally Ma5rco Trungelliti of Argentina, all in straight sets.
Like Ruusuvouri, McDonald is much more at home on a hard court – all eight of his finals on the lower tours have been on that surface, and all five of his wins, most recently in Nur-Sultan in February.
However, he did make the second round in Munich after coming through qualifying, and reached the semi-final of a Challenger event in Germany before losing to the Columbia Daniel Elahi Galan Riveros in three sets.
Ruusuvouri v McDonald Prediction and Tip
This is a match between two men happier on a hard court than clay. However, given that the Finn has lost all the matches he has played on the surfaces this year, whilst the American has come through three rounds of qualifying and had a fair amount of practice on the Challenger tour, McDonald will start the favourite.
