Aryna Sabalenka v Aliaksandra Sasnovich Head to Head
There was one previous encounter between these two and Sabalenka won that one at Wuhan in straight sets in 2019.

Sabalenka Runs Past Konjuh
It took Sabalenka some time to get going but once she had, the world number four cruised to a straight-set win over Ana Konjuh in her first round match.
Needing an hour and 18 minutes, Sabalenka defeated her Croat opponent 6-4, 6-3 to seal her second round place, one step away from emulating her French Open best of third round in 2020. She would obviously want to go much farther than that given her form this season.
What Sabalenka would want is a better showing on serve than was on display in her opener. Having entered Roland-Garros with a 11-2 win-loss record on clay this year, Sabalenka was broken four times in the match and was twice behind on serve in the first set.
She broke back a couple of games later each time and then carved out a decisive break in the 10th game of the opening set to clinch it.
In the second, the players exchanged four successive breaks before Sabalenka forged ahead with a crucial third break of the set in the sixth game. She held on and finished off the encounter.
Expect her to get only better from here on.

Sasnovich Made to Stretch by Wildcard Parry
Once a top-30 player, Sasnovich has now fallen out of the top 100 and her recent struggles were on display in her opener against a player whose career-best ranking is her current 291st.
Sasnovich needed three sets and more than two hours to get past Diane Parry, a French wildcard to set up this meeting with Sabalenka.
A quick exchange of breaks in the first set was followed by Sasnovich breaking Parry in the sixth game before cementing a one-set lead. In a cagier second set, there were only two break-points on show – one faced by each – and it was Parry who took advantage, broke her opponent and levelled the match.
Sasnovich retaliated with a couple of breaks in the final set and while she dropped serve the first time she served for the match, she finished off the encounter on second attempt.
Against an in-form Sabalenka, however, Sasnovich would have to do a lot better than the 36 unforced errors she had against her name.
Sabalenka v Sasnovich Prediction and Tip
Sabalenka is an overwhelming favourite yet again with bet365 offering 1/10 for her win and 1/3 for a straight-set victory. Unlike Konjuh in round one, we believe Sasnovich should be a more straightforward opponent and an easier win in the offing for the world number four.
Tip: Sabalenka to win AND Under 18.5 games in the match: 10/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
