Madison Brengle v Tamara Zidansek Head to Head
This is the first meeting between the two ladies on the WTA Tour.

Zidansek Starts Strong in Paris
23-year-old Tamara Zidansek has delivered what is undoubtedly one of the biggest wins in her career. She faced the Canadian Bianca Andreescu and in a three-setter marathon match, she dispatched the top 10 player 6-7(1), 7-6(2), 9-7. It was one of the longest opening matches in the French Open, lasting for over three hours and 20 minutes.
Andreescu wasn’t at her very best, to begin with, seeing that she committed 63 unforced errors. Zidansek was quick to exploit the rocky Canadian’s form and has thus managed to reach the second round in Paris for the first time in her career.
The Slovenian will certainly fancy her chances to beat Brengle – earlier this season, Zidansek was the runner-up in Copa Colsanitas where she beat Sara Errani and Anna Kalinskaya en route to the final. In the following weeks, she reached the second round in the Madrid Open and the first round in the Italian Open as a qualifier.
Comparatively, she has fared better on clay courts this season than on hard. Plus, a majority of her singles titles – WTA, ITF, and WTA 125K Series – have come in the clay tournaments.

Brengle Looking to Build on ITF Success
Madison Brengle’s opening match in French Open wasn’t as demanding as Zidansek’s. She beat Maria Osorio Serrano in straight sets to reach the second round – a feat that she has managed just once in all of her past appearances in Paris.
Currently ranked World No. 84 – just one spot above Zidansek, Brengle arrived for the slam after preparing for it on the ITF circuit. She was a finalist in ITF Charleston (losing to Claire Liu) and later reached the quarterfinal in Bonita Springs.
Her overall form this season hasn’t been quite uneventful. Her best runs include reaching the second round in the Australian Open and Phillip Island Trophy. Apart from that, Brengle has been beaten mainly in the qualifying/early rounds.
Brengle v Zindansek Prediction and Tip
Brengle has the experience while Zidansek has the form. Plus, the Slovenian has looked really good on clay and has enjoyed a lot of success on this surface.
Zidansek will start this match as the odds-on favourite but she may be in for another grueling game.
Tip: Zidansek to win AND Over 19.5 games in the match: 13/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
