Aryna Sabalenka v Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Head to Head
The head-to-head tally is currently tied at 1-1. They met as recently as the Madrid Open a few weeks back this season. In that semifinal game, Sabalenka won in straight sets with 6-2, 6-3.

Sabalenka Showing no Signs of Slowing Down
Having one of the best seasons of her career, Aryna Sabalenka is now on a mission to win her maiden Grand Slam singles title. She has the momentum and form on her side and by the looks of it, she may very well reach the penultimate rounds in Paris.
In the French Open, she started her journey with a straight-set win over Ana Konjuh in the opener. In the next round, she met her compatriot Aliaksandra Sasnovich and dispatched her with 7-5, 6-3, in an hour and 30 minutes. While she did strike 27 winners to Sasnovich’s 15, she also committed far more unforced efforts (34 v 19).
The Belarusian No. 1 has been absolutely brilliant this season, particularly on clay. She was the runner-up in the WTA Stuttgart, beating Simona Halep en route but lost to Ash Barty in the final. The following week, she won the Madrid Open – her fourth WTA 1000 title and the first one on clay. This time, Sabalenka avenged her recent defeat to Barty by beating the Aussie in the Madrid final in three sets.
Sabalenka also was a quarterfinalist in WTA Dubai and Miami Open, in addition to winning the WTA Abu Dhabi at the start of the season.
On the back of these sensational performances and a win-loss tally of 25-7, she has cracked the top 5 as she currently enjoys her career-best singles ranking.

Pavlyuchenkova Outsmarts Tomljanovic
The 29-year-old Pavlyuchenkova defeated Ajla Tomljanovic in her second-round bout at the Roland Garros with 6-2, 6-3. With that win, she reached the third round here in Paris for the first time since 2016.
Currently ranked World No. 32, the Russian has had a pretty mundane season. Keeping aside her Madrid Open semifinal feat, where she beat Madison Keys, Karolina Pliskova, and Jennifer Brady, she has never really managed to move past the early rounds in any other tournament.
Pavlyuchenkova has played in just one other clay tournament – WTA Istanbul where she was beaten in the opener by Anastasia Potapova. It was a similar story across the Australian Open Series and the Middle-East Swing too.
Moreover, in her 10+ years of playing in the French Open, Pavlyuchenkova has made it past the third round just once – in the 2011 edition where she managed to reach the quarterfinal.
Sabalenka v Pavlyuchenkova Prediction and Tip
Sabalenka is more than likely to win this match, given her recent form – it is just a matter of how she does it. That said, Pavlyuchenkova is a decent player with the ability to deliver an upset here – the only thing is it will be a difficult task for her.
It wouldn’t be surprising if this turns out to be a long match.
Tip: Sabalenka to win in straight sets: 8/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
