Cilic Has Had His Time on Grass
Winner of the US Open in 2014, Cilic reached the final at Wimbledon in 2017, losing to Roger Federer in three sets (the same man who beat him in the final of the Australian Open seven months later).
That performance on grass was no fluke – in the three years preceding that, he had made the quarter-finals each time.
However, in those days he was a top five player, before several years of indifferent form and struggles with fitness took their toll.
There have been signs that he might be returning to his best this year, though.
He reached the quarter-finals in Miami before losing to Andrey Rublev, and the semi-final Estoril losing eventually to Cameron Norrie.
In Paris last week, he reached the second round, but lost to his nemesis, Federer, in four sets.

Molleker Starts off German Wildcard
Molleker is a German wildcard, who trains at the academy in France run by Serena Williams coach, Patrick Mouratoglou.
Aa a junior he reached the fianl of the doubles at the Australian Open in 2018, where he was a runner-up with partner Henri Squire.
He made his ATP main draw debut on home soil four years ago,, and the following year, beat compatriot Jan Lennard Struff in this event to record his first every victory at this level.
He spends most of his time on the Challenger tour, however, where he has been in four finals, all of them on clay, winning one of them, in Heilbronn, Germany, three years ago.
After failing to qualify for the Australian Open in January he has spent this year alternating between the ITF and Challenger tours, with his best result coming in Antalya where he reached the third round.
He has no known form on grass.
