Marie Bouzkova v Katie Boulter Head to Head
Bouzkova holds a 3-0 lead over Boulter, last beating her in the 2019 Miami Open with 6-4, 6-2.

Bouzkova Seeking Reprieve in the Grass Swing
Marie Bouzkova, currently ranked World No. 52 (just 6 places shy of her career-best singles ranking), had a rather disappointing spell on clay and will be looking to put that behind when she starts her Nottingham campaign on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old lost her first-round matches in the Madrid Open, French Open, and the WTA Stuttgart – all of which came against top 20 players. That said, the Czech has shown great promise this season and has all the makings of being a tennis prodigy.
Earlier this year, Bouzkova was the runner-up in the Phillip Island Trophy where she fell to Daria Kasatkina in the final. Sometime later in the WTA Guadalajara, she reached the semis. In the Charleston Open, she reached the final four once again – this time in the doubles half with Lucie Hradecka.
Bouzkova has slowly and steadily climbed her way up in the rankings, finding a steady bearing in the top 50s or so. She will now look to take it up a notch on grass, something which seems quite likely at the moment.

Boulter Boosted by Local Support
Katie Boulter is playing on her home turf which alone accounts for some sort of edge. She is playing her first WTA event since the Miami Open earlier this season, where she reached the second round. That, combined with her third-round stint in the Gippsland Trophy where she knocked out Cori Gauff, was among her better performances in recent history.
So far, she is off to a good start in Nottingham, beating Maria Osorio Serrano in the opener with 6-2, 6-3. Before this, the 24-year-old had a couple of semifinal and quarterfinal stints on the ITF circuit.
Boulter has taken this season a bit slow as she looks to slowly find her former self. At one point, she was in the top 100 and looked to go further but then, a serious back injury completely knocked her out of place. It has been a long road to recovery for her since then and the absence of matches in the 2020 season has certainly helped her cause.
Bouzkova v Boulter Prediction and Tip
If there was ever a time to bet on the underdog, now would be it. Bouzkova has form and momentum while Boulter is playing on familiar territory on her preferred playing surface.
