Alexander Bublik v Jack Draper Head to Head
While these two have never played in the main draw of any event before, they did face off in the qualifiers of this very tournament in 2019. Bublik had won that one in a tough three-setter.

Draper Wins Maiden Main Draw Match
Britain’s Draper had played just one main draw match on the ATP tour before coming into this competition in London. Up against a player that experts reckon could win multiple Grand Slams sometime in the near future, it wasn’t too much of a surprise Draper was a whopping 6/1 outside to win the match.
Two hours and multiple fightbacks later, Draper had caused one of the biggest upsets of the season when he took down his Italian opponent in two tie-breakers to register his maiden win at the highest level.
Down two breaks in the first set, Draper came back from 0-4 and 2-5 down to force a tie-breaker in which he faced two more set-points. Unbothered, he saved both those points and then converted his own, first set-point.
Sinner went 5-3 up in the second set too but serving for the match, he was broken by Draper yet again, forcing another tie-breaker. And this time around, Draper took the early initiative but unlike Sinner, he refused to let go of the advantage and clinched it 7-2.
Can he now double his career win count?

Bublik Staves off Chardy Threat
With grass not much of a favourite for Bublik, at least not yet in his early career, the Kazakh started off a second favourite in his opening round encounter against Jeremy Chardy.
An hour and 43 minutes later, Bublik had come through 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to seal his second round berth.
Bublik fell a break behind in the first set in the sixth game, but came back strongly to level things back at 4-4. He broke back a second time the very next game to pouch the opening set, but was unable to do that when Bublik lost serve again in the second set.
With the match tied at a set apiece, Bublik drew first blood in the fourth game but had to save break-points on either side of that before coming through in the encounter.
Can he now add on to his grass court career record of 4-4?
Bublik v Draper Prediction and Tip
While Bublik hadn’t started off a favourite in the first round, he should have no issues getting past Draper in this one. Straight set victory for him.
