Lloyd Harris v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came at the 2020 Antwerp Open where Harris won their first round match in straight sets.

Whilst Harris’ time on clay this season wasn’t his greatest, he seems to have made a decent transition to grass, traditionally a surface he hasn’t done well on.
In fact coming into the Stuttgart Open nearly two weeks ago, Harris had never won a main draw match on grass. Which is why a second round appearance at Stuttgart meant he had managed to open his account on this surface and then stormed past Gael Monfils and Lukas Lacko to set up a quarterfinal at Halle last week.
He lost to Nikoloz Basilashvili but by then had set up a higher standard for himself on grass.
What he will now look for in the lead-up to Wimbledon is to make more, deep run here to try and garner as much confidence going into the season’s third Grand Slam.

Moutet Sent Packing at Halle
Known for his solid showings on clay, Moutet had gone into the Halle Open last week on the back of barely any wins on grass – a second round at Wimbledon 2019 as a qualifier being his best performance so far.
And while he doubled his tally of career main draw victories on grass with an opening round win over David Goffin, it did come courtesy a fitness-related retirement. After losing the first set 6-1, Moutet fought back to remain within touching distance of Goffin before his Belgian opponent opted out of the encounter.
Moutet then lost his second round encounter against Philipp Kohlschreiber, the German veteran who is currently ranked outside the top 120.
It’s that loss which would sting hard and also mean Moutet starts off here against Harris as a second favourite. Expecting Moutet to replicate his clay court form from some of the yesteryears here would be hard but can he put up a fight at the very least.
Harris v Moutet Prediction and Tip
Harris has the form and confidence and will benefit from the lack of those two elements for his opponent featuring on grass. A straight-set wins is quite expected for the South African.
