Marton Fucsovics v Aljaz Bedene Head to Head
The two players have met just twice on the tour and Bedene has won on both occasions.
They first met in the final of a Challenger event in Italy back in 2014. Bedene won that game in three sets. Most recently, they crossed paths in the 2017 ATP Istanbul, where the Slovenian won once again.

Fucsovics Looking for Some Momentum on Grass
29-year-old Marton Fucsovics is heading in this tournament on the back of an uneventful start to his grass swing. He last played in the ATP Stuttgart Open where he lost to Ugo Humbert in the opener.
In fact, his entire clay swing was built on a litany of these early-round exits. In Monte Carlo and Madrid, the Hungarian fell in the first round. As for his spells in Geneva, Rome, and the French Open, Fucsovics managed to reach round two but not quite past.
His best run, however, was undoubtedly his stint in the Rotterdam Open. As a qualifier, he made it all the way to the final, beating the likes of Tommy Paul and Borna Coric. While he lost to Andrey Rublev in the final, that run did well to boost his form and momentum.
Fucsovics followed that run with quarterfinal appearances in Dubai and Doha.

Bedene in with a Similar Run
Comparing the respective season of the two players in 2021, Aljaz Bedene has had a rather similar spell to that of Fucsovics.
Like the Hungarian, he too fell in his first match of the grass season – it was in the ATP 500 London at the hands of Frances Tiafoe. Before that, Bedene had a mundane clay swing where he lost mainly in the early rounds. His best run came in ATP Cagliari and ATP Lyon, where he lost in the quarterfinals to Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti respectively.
While Fucsovics has a runner-up trophy to show for from Rotterdam, the same hasn’t been the case for Bedene. His best run from the early tournaments came in the Dubai Championships, where he had a third-round appearance before succumbing to Kei Nishikori.
That said, Bedene is certainly a bit more experienced than his Hungarian counterpart.
Fucsovics v Bedene Prediction and Tip
Fucsovics will start this game as the odds-on favourite but it wouldn’t be surprising if Bedene manages to come out as the victor. The two players are evenly matched, making this a game that can very well go either way.
Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
