Lorenzo Sonego v John Millman Head to Head
Sonego and Millman have never faced off before this in a competitive encounter.

Sonego Climbing up the Ladder But on a Losing Streak
With a title already under his belt this season and a semifinal appearance at the Rome Masters, it has been the kind of year Sonego would really like to repeat. Unfortunately, however, he has hit bit of a brake and enters this tournament on the back of a four-match losing streak.
In fact Sonego, whose first career title had come on the grass courts of Antalya in 2019, would be rather surprised with at least two of those four defeats.
At the French Open, Sonego fell in straight sets to Lloyd Harris while last week on the grass of Queen’s Club, Sonego was shocked in straight sets by Viktor Troicki. He will now hope to stall this losing streak but having only recently hit a career-high ranking of 26th in the world, Sonego shouldn’t feel that much of heat despite his poor run.
Sonego enters this match on the back of a first round bye, so should relish some time on court in the lead-up to Wimbledon.

Millman Eases Past Clarke
Since switching over to clay, this is the eighth tournament in a row that Millman has managed to win his first round match. And the reason why this is so important is Millman had had a rather shoddy start to the season before that.
In the five tournaments before that, Millman had fallen in the first round at each of them, making these last eight competitions something of a relief.
A 6-3, 6-2 win over Jay Clarke was on expected lines but we have had other British players surprise opponents who were favourites coming into the match because of their familiarity with the conditions.
The next task for Millman is to try and stitch together two wins in a row which he has done just once this year but to do that he will need to get past a player ranked 27th in the world.
Sonego v Millman Prediction and Tip
Sonego is a favourite but only just at 4/5 given his four-match losing streak. On the other hand, he is no mug on grass and we believe he should be able to turn the corner at some stage, and against Millman those represent quite good odds to go with.
Tip: Sonego to win: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
