Lorenzo Sonego v Alexander Bublik Head to Head
The players have met twice last year, at the French Open and at the ATP Masters in Paris, with Sonego winning both times in straight sets.

Sonego Climbing up the Ladder But on a Losing Streak
It has been a good season overall for Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego, with a title at the Sardegna Open and a good run at the Rome Masters where he defeated Dominic Thiem and Andrey Rublev, en route the semi-finals where he gave world number one Novak Djokovic a good run. The Italian’s first ATP title incidentally also came on the grass courts, over at Antalya in 2019.
However, in what was a bit of a surprise, Sonego hit a four match- losing streak, which included a straight sets loss to Lloyd Harris at a French Open and another last week on the grass of Queen’s Club to Viktor Troicki, a run against the course of events where he hit a career high world number 26 in rankings.
Sonego enters this tournament on the back of a first round bye, and looked good in a straight sets win over John Milman as he looks for grass court match practice and confidence in the lead-up to Wimbledon.

Bublik Looking To Settle On Grass After Queens Loss
Alexander Bublik did not have the best of starts on grass with an early loss at Queen’s Club last week, to Briton Jack Draper ranked 309 in the world. It was not quite the outing he had hoped for, after making the finals on grass at the Newport Hall Of Fame in 2019.
It has been an overall encouraging season for the Kazakh who made the finals at Antalya and Singapore, and the final eight of the Masters 1000s in Miami and Madrid.
Bublik had a decent start to the tournament here this week in Eastbourne, with straight set wins over Egor Gerasimov and countryman Mikhail Kukushkin and will be hoping for a deep run here this week.
Sonego v Bublik Prediction and Tip
It should be a good match-up between two up and coming players looking for confidence and form ahead of Wimbledon. Expect the big serving Bublik to prevail in a tight three-setter.
Tip: Sonego to win in three sets: 10/3 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
