Lorenzo Sonego v Pedro Sousa Head to Head
The pair have never met before. This will be the first match between the 26 year old Italian, and the man from Portugal, who is seven years older.

Sonego Coming off Eastbourne Final
This will be the third time that Sonego has played at Wimbledon, but he has never progressed beyond the first round before.
However, since his last visit two years ago, he has improved as a player and is not an all-time career high ranking, after a good European clay court season, winning the title in Sardinia, and reaching the semi-finals of the Rome Masters before losing to Novak Djokovic.
Disappointment though came at the French Open where he was beaten by the South African Lloyd Harris in the first round.
He also lost in the first round of his first grass court tournament of the year, losing to the Serbian veteran Viktor Troicki at Queen’s.
Sonego fared batter in Eastbourne, however, achieving good victories over John Millman and Alexander Bublik, and then beat the Australian lucky loser Max Purcell, to make the final against another Australian, Alex de Minaui

Clay Court Player Sousa
Portuguese number one Sousa is very much a clay court player. Once ranked as high as 59 in the world, his one senior ATP final came last year at the Argentina Open where he lost to Casper Ruud, and nearly all of his successes on the junior tours have come on his preferred surface.
The most recent of those was a victory in a Challenger event on home soil in Maia, last December.
His Wimbledon record is very poor though. This will be the first time he has featured in the main draw here in a professional career stretching back to 2007.
His preparation for this year’s event has not been ideal, however, and he has not played a match since losing in the first round of qualifying for the French Open, choosing not to play in any of the grass court warm-up events.
Prior to that, his form had been indifferent, spending the majority of his time on the Challenger circuit, where the best he managed was a third round appearance in Qeiras Portugal on clay.
Sonego v Sousa Prediction and Tip
Although both men have poor Wimbledon records, Sonego is one of the most improved players on tour and is playing with a great deal of confidence right now. And, as his exploits have shown at Eastbourne the past week, grass no longer holds any fears for him, whereas Sousa has not played a single match in the surface in preparation.
