Taylor Fritz v Brandon Nakashima Head to Head
The pair have never met before. This will be the first meeting between 23 year-old fritz, and 19-year old Nakashima.

Fritz Has Won on Grass Earlier
This is Fritz’s fifth visit to Wimbledon, but he has yet to progress beyond the second round here.
However, two years ago he did win the Eastbourne International, beating compatriot Sam Querrey in the final.
That was in the middle of his purple patch which saw him reach four finals in the space of eight months, although Eastbourne was the only one that he won.
Since lockdown and the return of the sport, success has been harder to come by for the American.
His best performances in 2021 came during the first part of the year on hard courts, his preferred surface. He reached the third round of the Australian Open before losing to Novak Djokovic, and then the semi-finals in Doha, eventually going down to Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Then he got to the third round in Miami as well, before switching to clay, where his best result was a quarter-final appearance in Sardinia.
His most recent event was the French Open where he beat Joao Sousa in the first round, before losing in four sets to the German Dominik Koepfer.
Fritz chose not to play in any of the warm-up tournaments, so this will be his first match of the year on grass.

Junior Nakashima Showing Lot of Promise
Although only 19, Nakashima is already showing signs of promise, after a junior career that saw him achieve a top ranking of three in the world, and the winning of two ITF and Two ATP Challenger titles.
In February 2020, he appeared in a senior ATP tournament for the first tie in Delray Beach, where he reached the quarter-finals, beating Jiri Vesely and Cameron Norrie along the way.
Later that year he made his Grand Sam debut in New York, after being given a wildcard in to the US Open, and reached the second round before falling to Alexander Zverev.
And now he has qualified for a Grand Slam event for the first time, having come through three rounds of qualifying where he beat three players much more experienced than him in the form of Aleksandar Kukic of Australia, who he thrashed for the loss of just two games, Viktor Troicki, the Serbian veteran, and the Latvian Ernests Gulbis.
Fritz v Nakashima Prediction and Tip
Although Fritz is the seed and higher ranked player, Nakashima is tipped to win this match by dint of the fact that he has already played three matches on grass to get this stage, whereas his opponent has chosen not to play in any of the warm-up events.
That could prove to be a mistake for the number 31 seed.
