Herbert Pierre-Hugues v Pablo Andujar Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came at the 2016 Australian Open where Herbert had won in four sets.

Herbert on a Four-Match Losing Streak
It’s been a startling change of fortunes for Herbert since he made it to the final of the Marseille Open played in March this year.
With wins over Kei Nishikori, Cameron Norrie, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Ugo Humbert in that tournament and fighting defeat in the title-decider to Daniil Medvedev, things seemed to be going his way.
And then suddenly they weren’t.
Since that runner-up trophy, Herbert has won just three main draw matches spread across seven tournaments including a first round loss at French Open. That was his fourth successive loss in main draws of tournaments, leaving him outside the top 100 and with a lot to do to try and get going again.
On grass, Herbert has done reasonably well though with a career win-loss of 14-14 being better than that on clay and hard court. And against a clay court specialist that should hold him in a good stead.

Andujar’s Dislike for Grass Well Known
If Herbert’s form this year hasn’t been up to the mark, Andujar has taken a dislike for a particular surface to another level. The 35-year-old clay court specialist has won only two matches in his entire career on grass and lost 15 of them in the process.
Comparing that with his own performance on clay is futile given he has done well on dirt, but even looking at hard courts, he has a win-loss ratio of 0.28 as compared to 0.11 on grass.
And with Andujar having played just one match on grass this season – it came at Mallorca where he lost to Jordan Thompson in his opener – it shouldn’t be much of a surprise he starts off an overwhelming underdog in this one.
Can we expect him to put up a fight at the very least though?
Herbert v Andujar Prediction and Tip
These are two players struggling for form but one has done better on grass than the other and can be expected to do a fair job of winning the contest. That is Herbert, who also starts off 1/6 to win this and 1/1 to do that in straight sets.
Tip: Herbert to win AND Both players to win a set: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
