She is all of 19 in age and already making the waves that have caught the attention of fans.
Osorio Serrano might be a clay court specialist, having won her maiden WTA title at Bogota Open earlier this season but the manner in which she came through her qualifiers here at Wimbledon give an indicator how quickly she can adapt.
Sure, she played in the first round at Nottingham Open and lost to Katie Boulter in straight sets but to then come through fighting in three sets in all her three matches indicates Osorio Serrano is a sticky customer and will not bow out easily.
Also, the good news for Osorio Serrano is in her first ever appearance at Wimbledon, she will be facing a fellow qualifier which gives her a more than even chance to make it through to the next round.

Kalinskaya Steady But Difficulties in Breaking Through
It was in 2016 that Kalinskaya broke into the top 200 of the WTA rankings. Unfortunately for her, since then her career-best ranking has only been 96th and she has more or less hovered around the 100th-150th-rank mark in all these times.
Interestingly, much like her opponent here, Kalinskaya also lost her opening round match at her first grass court competition of the season and then won three successive qualifiers to make the main draw at Wimbledon.
Unfortunately for Kalinskaya, that’s where the similarity ends. Because unlike Osorio Serrano, she has won just five matches all season to her eight losses and other than two successive wins at Monterrey and then again in Miami she has done nothing of note.
And on grass, Kalinskaya has played seven main draw matches and lost them all so far, making this a difficult opening encounter for her.

These are two qualifiers but on the one hand is a Wimbledon debut but one who has shown propensity to improve while on the other is a player who has rarely played above the second gear. Expect a battling encounter but one which sees Osorio Serrano come through.
