Karen Khachanov v Frances Tiafoe Head to Head
Their only previous meeting was also a third-round meeting at Wimbledon in 2018, which Khachanov won in five. Tiafoe had taken the first two sets in that match before the Russian made a remarkable recovery to win in five.

World No. 29 Karen Khachanov has never gone out of Wimbledon in the second round and he continued the pattern this year reaching the Round of 32 for the fourth time in four appearances.
The Russian has however reached the fourth round just once in 2018, falling in the Round of 32 in 2017 and 2019.
The 25-year-old Khachanov defeated Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov 6-1, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 in the second round on Wednesday.
The one-hour-and-48-minute contest saw Khachanov hit 41 winners and make 23 unforced errors compared to his opponent’s 24 winners and 32 unforced errors.
Not broken once in the entire match, Khachanov converted five of nine break points to beat the World No. 73.
Khachanov had fought back from a set down to win his opening round match against America’s Mackenzie McDonald. The Russian won the two hour and 50 minutes battle against the American qualifier 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).
A four-time winner on the tour, the 25th seed Khachanov improved to 18-14 this year. He reached two semifinals at Melbourne-1 and Lyon and the quarterfinals in Rotterdam.

Tiafoe Continues His Dominant Run
Meeting Khachanov in the third round will be American Fraces Tiafoe, who had stunned French Open runner-up Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first round on Monday.
Tiafoe continued his dominant form on Wednesday as he knocked out Canada’s Vasek Pospisil 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in the second round.
Yet to be broken in the tournament, Tiafoe saved seven break points against Tsitsipas and didn’t face any against Pospisil.
The 23-year-old American, ranked 57th in the world, had prepared well for Wimbledon this year. He won five matches in a row to win his first Challenger title on grass in Nottingham and then featured in Queen’s, defeating Aljaz Bedene and Viktor Troicki in the first two rounds before falling to Denis Shapovalov in the quarterfinals.
Tiafoe also played at Eastbourne, but made a first-round exit after a defeat to Britain’s Liam Broady.
The 2018 Delray Beach Open champion, Tiafoe improved to 14-12 following Wednesday’s win. He reached the quarterfinals at Delray Beach this year and the fourth round of the Miami Open.
Khachanov v Tiafoe Prediction and Tip
Tiafoe’s confidence is sky-high at the moment and even getting a break against him has been challenging. Expect the American to use this confidence against the Russian, who will be tough to beat, given his previous Grand Slam experience. They look set to provide another five-set thriller at Wimbledon.
