Matteo Berrettini v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
This will be the second meeting between the two players on the tour. Their only prior meeting was also on grass, at Stuttgart in 2019, which Berrettini won in straight sets, 13-11 in the second set tiebreak.

Berrettini Continues Strong Grass Run
Italian Next Gen star Matteo Berrettini came to the grass swing confident at the back of good runs this season at the ATP Cup and the Aussie Open 2021 earlier in the year, and more recently at Belgrade and Madrid on the clay and then at the French Open.
With a Stuttgart title in 2019 and a good overall grass run the same year, the Italian was the top seed at the Queens club last week. Berrettini had an excellent run at the ATP 500 at Queens’ Club, with some convincing wins against the likes of Andy Murray, Dan Evans, Alex de Minaur and Cam Norrie among others as he won the second grass title of his career.
Coming into Wimbledon high on confidence and earmarked as one of the favorites after Novak Djokovic, Berrettini was up against 2019 Wimbledon quarter-finalist Guido Pella and it was a tight match initially with Berrettini adjusting to the SW19 grass and Pella playing with confidence, as the players split the first two sets before the Italian then increase in confidence and aggression to close the match in four sets.
It has been smooth sailing since for Berrettini with three powerful performances against Dutchman Botic Van de Zandschulp, Aljaz Bedene and Ilya Ivashka, and making the quarter-finals of Wimbledon following the final eight at Roland Garros, looking primed for a deep run this week.

Auger-Aliassime Comes Of Age At Wimbledon
After back to back solid performances on the grass courts of Stuttgart and Halle in the lead-up to Wimbledon, Auger-Aliassime won successive matches to reach the third round at this competition for the second time in a row – emulating his Wimbledon-best from 2019. After a fairly straightforward opener, he was tested by young Swede Mikael Ymer in the second round and did well to come out strong when the going got tight and prevail in four sets.
The Canadian was up against none other than the Aussie maverick Nick Kyrgios in the round of 32, who had entertained crowds in the first two rounds including a 9-7 fifth set win against Halle champion Ugo Humbert. Kyrgios was off to a blazing but then just as the players split the first two sets, the Aussie withdrew with an abdominal injury.
Up against one of the tournament favorites Alexander Zverev in the round of 16, Auger- Aliassime came back from a break down to win each of the first two sets, but the German fought back in customary style to even the match at two sets all. Just when it looked like a Zverev comeback was the order of the day, the Canadian played a strong fifth set to close at 6-4 and win against a fancied opponent on the biggest stage for the first time in his career.
Following the victory against Roger Federer in Halle, Auger Aliassime is truly showing signs of coming of age, after losing eight ATP tour level finals.
Berrettini v Auger-Aliassime Prediction and Tip
The two players are rising Next Gen stars and very good friends and spend a lot of time together on and off the court. While Auger-Aliassime has had a strong season on the grass, so has Berrettini, who has looked like the strongest contender to Djokovic here actually. Expect a good match, but the powerful Berrettini should prevail in four sets.
Tip: Berrettini to win in four sets: 11/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
