Pera Not Quite at Home This Season

It’s been a fairly forgettable season for Pera and the only consistency she has shown all season is in her inability to win back to back matches in tournament main draws.

Having featured in 15 tournaments all season, Pera has not made beyond the second round in any of them. In fact even to get to the second round of those competitions has been an onerous task and that’s restricted to six of them.

There were a few signs of recovery in Rome and Madrid, where she made it through the qualifiers to win her opener, and then in the second stretched higher pedigreed opponents, top-20 players Garbine Muguruza and Belinda Bencic to a third set.

Unfortunately for her, none of this has converted too well into better results and while she will hold the aces in this contest, the question still remains if she can go further on in the tournament.

Grabher Yet to Open Main Draw Account

With a career-best ranking of 186th and having won eight ITF titles including one this season, Grabher looks to be inching her way forward towards making a name on the WTA tour. Because so far, Grabher hasn’t won a main draw match in WTA tournaments.

In fact this season, this will be Grabher’s first main draw match having made it through to the first round with two straight-set wins in the qualifiers.

Form hasn’t quite been on her side either, having recently lost in the first round at an ITF competition in Amstelveen, second round in Stare Splavy and failed to make it through the qualifiers at either French Open or Wimbledon.

In fact it was in April that Grabher had lost won back to back matches in the main draw of an ITF event as well, which makes her chances of coming through here rather bleak.

Pera v Grabher Prediction and Tip

Pera starts a heavy favourite here, and while her own form hasn’t been top-notch, she should have enough fuel in the tank to get past Grabher.
