Anhelina Kalinina v Panna Udvardy Head to Head
No previous matches have been played between the 95th-ranked Kalinina and the world number 204 Udvardy.

Her winning run, which consists of two ITF title wins has already been extended by two more. Kalinina, who had defeated Anna Kalinskaya in the first round, registered a straight-set second round victory over Bernarda Pera.
In a match lasting an hour and 40 minutes, Kalinina won 7-5, 6-3 to seal her maiden quarterfinal berth on the WTA circuit.
The first set saw Kalinina draw first blood in the fifth game and she served for a 5-3 lead. Instead three successive breaks of serves brought them to 5-5 before Kalinina finally got the decisive break following which she was able to hold on to her serve and win the set.
The second set was easier, with Kalinina racing off to two breaks of serves and while Pera pulled one back it was a case of too little too late.
Kalinina had begun the season ranked outside the top 160 but her performances on the ITF circuit have already lifted her more than 70 places. Can she go further through to the semifinal and try and break into the top 90 for the first time?

Udvardy Shock for Sasnovich
Since the first match she played this season, which came in the qualifiers of Abu Dhabi, Udvardy has focussed her attention on the ITF circuit. In turn she has done rather well too, winning two titles and finishing runnerup on two other occasions on that circuit.
With that kind of confidence under her belt, Udvardy looked to have deserved the wildcard she got to play in the main draw here. And she has proved her worth too.
The Hungarian, having dispatched Mayar Sherif in the first round, then went one better as she overcame the favourite Aliaksandra Sasnovich in straight sets to set up this quarterfinal meeting.
She needed an hour and 45 minutes to get past Sasnovich, winning 7-6 (4), 6-2. Can Udvardy now take down a higher-ranked and a better quality player to make it to the semifinals?
Kalinina v Udvardy Prediction and Tip
This is a tough one to call given how closely matched the two players are and the way they have won their matches too. We think it would be a hard-fought encounter which goes into a third set.
