Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Andy Murray Head to Head
The players met at the 2020 US Open and Auger-Aliassime won in straight sets.

Auger-Aliassime Confident After Strong Wimbledon Run
Canadan Felix Auger- Aliassime has shown plenty of promise in the time he has been on the tour and at the young age of twenty, already made eight ATP finals and ranked number 15 in the ATP rankings.
Despite being unable to win any of the ATP finals he has reached, including the most recent one on the grass at Stuttgart last month, Auger-Aliassime displayed immense maturity in coming back from a set down in Halle against ten-time winner Roger Federer and going on to win the match.
The Canadian continued his strong run at Wimbledon where he defeated Alexander Zverev in the fourth round in a hard fought grass court five setter and put up a spirited display before bowing out in the quarter-finals against eventual runner-up Matteo Berrettini.

Two Time Gold Medalist Murray With Tough Defense
Andy Murray had a strong run at the Olympics winning the gold in 2012 defeating Roger Federer at the London Olympics shortly after Federer had won the Wimbledon final against him the same summer. He followed this up in 2016 at Rio winning the gold in a hard fought final against Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina.
2016 was undoubtedly the best year of Murray’s career winning his second Wimbledon title, the Olympic gold, the year end ATP Finals and securing the number one ranking and ending the year as world number one.
It has been a difficult road for the Briton since then with hip issues from 2017, surgeries, a return to the tour that was challenging and disconcerting. With a stop and start comeback and injury recurrences, Murray returned to Wimbledon this summer. He put up two strong performances on Center Court to make the round of 32, but fell handily short against Auger- Aliassime’s countryman and peer Denis Shapovalov.
While Murray can be expected to push himself at an event like this, it remains to be seen how well he does against the likes of his Canadian opponent in the opening round.
Auger-Aliassime v Murray Prediction and Tip
This should make for an exciting contest. Auger-Aliassime is an up and rising Next Gen star and showed great form at Wimbledon. While Murray is not the Andy Murray he was, he does put up his best when playing for the country. Expect a tight contest with the younger legs prevailing in a decider.
