Ugo Humbert v Miomir Kecmanovic Head to Head
The pair have played each other five times before, and Kecmanovic leads their head-to-head series by three matches to two. The Serb won their first three encounters -= on the grass of Antalya and the hard courts of Atlanta in 2019, and at New York in early 2020.
However, later that same year, Humbert won their meeting at Delray Beach and also their encounter on the grass of Mallorca recently.

Humbert Passes First-Round Test
Humbert was given a tough looking first time test against the Spaniard Pablo Andujar-Alba a player much more experienced than him in major tournaments,
But the Frenchman passed the test convincingly, even if the world number 65 did push him close in the first set.
That saw the Frenchman achieve an early break, only for the Spaniard to hit back to level three games later. No further break opportunities were created on either side of the net, so that meant a tie-break.
Andujar-Alba went a mini-break down, recovered it, but then fell behind again. Humbert force a set point and the Spaniard could not save it on hs own serve.
If the first set had been close, the second was anything but. After the first two games went with serve, Andujar-Alba was broken again and he would not win another game.
Two more breaks followed and, although the Spaniard saved two match points, Humbert clinched the victory with his third.

Gentle Introduction to the Games for Kecmanovic
Kecmanovic, part of the strong Serb contingent here at the Games, headed, of course, by world number one and pre-tournament favourite Novak Djokovic, got his own Games off to a gentle start with a straightforward victory over the Polish number two, Kamil Majchrzak, the world number 115.
The tone was set early, with Majchrzak losing the opening service game of the match. He was briefly level, but then was broken again next game, and was unable to convert either of the two further break opportunities that came his way, enabling Kecmanovic to serve out for the set.
And the match was effectively decided when the Pole went a double break down early in the second set. From there Kecmanovic could control proceedings without unduly exerting himself.
Can Kecmanovic now usurp Humbert in this second round match?
Humbert v Kecmanovic Prediction and Tip
Although Kecmanovic has the better head-to-head record, Humbert has won their last two matches, including their one previous encounter this year. He is tipped to maintain that sequence.
