Sara Sorribes Tormo v Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Head to Head

The first set was a real cakewalk for Sorribes Tormo who rolled in five games in a row after the score read 1-1, and while Ferro broke first in the second set, her opponent retaliated with two successive breaks to clinch the match.

Pavlyuchenkova in No Mood to Relent
In what has been the best performance of the tournament so far, especially as far as the statistics are concerned, Pavlyuchenkova has managed to win two successive rounds for the total loss of a mere three games.
That’s three games lost by Pavlyuchenkova over four games!
And while her opponents haven’t been the most pedigreed on show, Pavlyuchenkova has already sent Sara Errani and Anna-Lena Friedsam packing with some ferocity.
Her second round match lasted a mere 56 minutes, and saw the Russian break her opponent a whopping six times in the process. It was her ability to win 81% of her first serve points as compared to her opponent’s mere 32% that tipped the scales in her favour.
