Tennys Sandgren v James Duckworth Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 30 year-old American, and the Australian, who is a year younger.

Sandgren Just Misses Out on Bronze Medal
Sandgren has just missed out on an Olympics medal. He and partner Austin Krajicek reached the third place lay-off in Tokyo only to lose out to the New Zealand pair of Marcus Daniell and Michael Venus in a contest to decide who won bronze in the doubles.
The last Americans left in at the Games, their defeat meant that, for the first time since 1920, their country returned home with no Olympic medals in tennis.
Sandgren’s own singles campaign, meanwhile, had got no further than the first-round stage. He was beaten by the Spaniard Pablo Carreno-Busta who went on to pick up the bronze medal.
In truth, Sandgren would not have been at the Olympics at all based on world rankings. He only earned his place on the plane after several higher ranked players decided not to go, for a variety of reasons.
He has not reached the third round of a singles event since the Cincinnati Open last August.

Duckworth Enjoying a Degree of Recent Success
Duckworth has enjoyed, by his standards, a successful few months,. He began the year by defeating Ugo Humbert at the Murray River Open, his first victory over a player ranked in the top-50 for more than four years.
Then, in May, for the first time in his career, he reached the second round of the French Open, and at Wimbledon went one better, getting to the third round, his best ever performance in a Grand Slam event, beating Sam Querrey in the process.
On the back of those results, he was chosen to represent Australia at the Olympics, reaching the second round before falling to eventual finalist Karen Khachanov of Russia.
He has never won a senior ATP event, although he did reach the semi-finals in Pune last January.
And it was on Indian soil in Bangalore a month later that he won the most recent of his 18 titles on the junior tours.
