John Millman v Jenson Brooksby Head to Head
John Millman has featured in just one career head-to-head meeting with Jenson Brooksby. They played in the round-robin stages of the 2018 US Open, with the Australian coming through in straight sets.

Millman Upsets Opelka in Round Two
A journeyman on the men’s circuit, 32-year-old Millman opened his Washington campaign with a hard fought win over Swede Elias Ymer.
Currently ranked 43rd in singles, the Australian took the opening set at a canter but ran into a more determined Ymer in the second.
Coming out swinging and taking the attack to Millman, Ymer took the second set to a tiebreaker. However, he failed in his bid to take the match into a deciding set as the Australian pipped the Swede 10-8 in the tiebreak.
Running into the big-serving Opelka in his next, Millman stunned the American with a flawless display to race to a 6-3 win in the opening set.
However, Opelka pulled out his big, booming serves and played somewhere close to his best in the second set to take it to a tiebreaker. But Millman edged the giant American 7-4 in the tiebreaker to close out a straight-set win.
While the Australian is eyeing a spot in the last four in the hope of lifting his second career Tour title, he faces an in-form Brooksby will go into the quarter-final on the back of claiming three of his biggest career scalps in the form of Kevin Anderson, Frances Tiafoe and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Brooksby Confident from Three Big Upsets
Though currently ranked comfortably outside the Top-100 in singles, Brooksby has had a phenomenal run in Washington, taking down veteran South African Kevin Anderson, American Frances Tiafoe and Felix Auger-Aliassime in his previous rounds to storm into the last eight.
What’s more, he got the better of his higher-ranked and more accomplished opponents with0ut dropping a set.
Getting off to a dream start against Auger-Aliassime, the Americam blitzed the Canadian to win the opening set 6-3. Wary of taking his foot off the pedal, Brooksby kept up the heat on the Canadian in the second set till the latter wilted to go down in straight sets.
The huge ranking gulf would matter little against Millman, as Brooksby will go into the quarterfinal with an eye on his maiden Tour championship title.
Millman v Brooksby Prediction and Tip
Given his recent run of results, Brooksby would start on a equal footing with the experienced Australian and another upset could well be on the cards.
