Karen Khachanov v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
Khachanov and Felix Auger-Aliassime have met only once before this. That match was at Auger-Aliassime’s home tournament in Montreal in 2019, with Khachanov winning in three sets.

Khachanov Imperious In Defeating Anderson
Not many players can manufacture double-digit breakpoints on Kevin Anderson’s monstrous serve. But Karen Khachanov did just that on Tuesday evening in Cincinnati.
The Russian kept Anderson’s serve under constant, relentless pressure on the return. He fashioned 10 breakpoints in the contest which lasted an hour and 26 minutes and converted three times. The South African worked admirably to save seven breakpoints, but he failed to threaten Khachanov’s serve which was impregnable throughout the match.
Khachanov withstood 11 aces from Anderson and nullified his power by playing crisp drives, and was always conjuring up some sharp-angled winners. He won 6-2 6-4, improving his record for the season to 28-17.
The 25-year-old is one of the tour’s in-form players heading to the US Open. Khachanov made the quarterfinals of Wimbledon and was a silver medalist at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. He reached the Round of 16 in Toronto last week.

Auger-Aliassime Downs Fucsovics
Felix Auger-Aliassime bounced back strongly from last week’s disappointing campaign in Toronto. The Canadian upstarted defeated Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics in the first round of the Cincinnati Masters 7-6 6-3 in two hours and 23 minutes.
Both players averaged over 60% first-serve points won, but there was clear daylight in the winners count, with the Canadian smacking 23 winners and breaking serve five times from 18 opportunities. This was a much-needed victory and streak of light from what has been a difficult couple of months for the man from Montreal.
After making the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, things have since gone awry for Auger-Aliassime who posted just one win from three tournaments before this week. That included a demoralizing defeat at the Olympics to World No. 205 Max Purcell.
Can the 12th seed maintain his level when he takes on silver medalist Karen Khachanov?
Khachanov v Auger-Aliassime Prediction and Tip
Auger-Aliassime enters this match as the higher-ranked player, but his form has been lackadaisical after Wimbledon. Defeats to the likes of Max Purcell, and most recently to Dusan Lajovic at his home tournament in Toronto have put him in a precarious position heading to the US Open.
