He already has a couple of titles to his name this season but other than that too, there have been a few performances to remember for Tsitsipas in 2021. And there have been a few others he would have liked go his way.
For instance, last week at Toronto, Tsitsipas looked like he had a good opportunity to go the distance and add another Masters title to his name. Wins over Ugo Humbert, Karen Khachanov and Casper Ruud took him to the semifinal where he was 1/5 favourite to go past Reilly Opelka.
In a shock result, however, the Greek number one fell to Opelka in three sets, two of those going into tie-breakers.
Tsitsipas has clarified he would like to feature in as many tournaments as possible for the season in a bid to move up the rankings charts, but more importantly he would like to go deep into most of them. He has a tricky opponent first up here though.

Korda Eases Past Djere in Opener
Korda did not face too many difficulties in his opening round encounter against Laslo Djere to record his 11th win on hard court surfaces this season to go with four defeats.
The American won 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 24 minutes in a display that was equal parts clinical and got the job done.
The first set went to serve till the very end, with Korda getting his first break-point when Djere served at 4-5. He broke on his first opportunity to claim the opening set.
It was slightly more difficult in the second for Korda, who was broken in the seventh game but he followed it up with back to back breaks of serves to claim the match.
Things could get a lot more difficult for the Miami Open quarterfinalist but the good news is he has a game and form to upset the Tsitsipas apple-cart if he gets the opportunity.
Tsitsipas v Korda Prediction and Tip
If Tsitsipas can shrug things off from the Toronto loss, he will be a shoo-in to win this despite Korda’s obvious credentials. Backing him to come away a straight-set winner.
