Garbine Muguruza v Barbora Krejcikova Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came in the final of WTA Dubai earlier this year where Muguruza overcame Krejcikova to win her first and only title of the season.

After getting a first round bye, Muguruza did not waste a lot of time in getting past Caroline Garcia in the second round to seal her place in the third against an in-form opponent.
Muguruza was on court for an hour and 42 minutes in the end but wasn’t broken even once and clinched a 6-4, 6-3 win over the Frenchwoman.
The Spaniard broke Garcia in the third game of the opening set, missed on three other opportunities before serving it out in the 10th game to take the lead.
The second set was more evenly contested till the sixth game when both held serves, but with Garcia unable to find a way through her opponent’s serve it was going to only be a matter of time.
And that came in the seventh and ninth game when Muguruza managed a couple of breaks to claim the set and the match.
She now has a tough battle on her hands against a player ranked just a spot behind her.

Krejcikova Outlasts Yastremska
Continuing from where she had left off at Strasbourg Open, French Open and Prague Open, Krejcikova was a straight-set winner over Dayana Yastremska in her second round encounter.
Krejcikova, who had earlier defeated Daria Kasatkina in her opener, overcame Yastremska 6-1, 7-6 (5) to march into the third round, with the match lasting an hour and 43 minutes.
The first set turned out to be a breeze for the Czech player, as she broke Yastremska in the very first game, and then repeated the same dose in the fifth and seventh game to seal the set.
It was a lot tougher in the second set though with Krejcikova having to save two break-points in the very first game and then again another couple in the ninth to push it into a tie-breaker.
And while she missed out on three match-points in the tie-breaker, Krejcikova completed the win off her fourth to make the third round.
Muguruza v Krejcikova Prediction and Tip
This will be a battle to watch with neither player expected to give an inch. Expect the match to go into a third with Krejcikova holding a slight edge.
