Rebecca Peterson v Tereza Martincova Head to Head

World No. 59 Rebecca Peterson reached a third quarterfinal this season, defeating the sixth seed Viktorija Golubic 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 in the second round on Wednesday.
Peterson, who was broken at 2-2 in the first set, saved a set point at 4-5 to come back with a break and force the tiebreak. Golubic seized the advantage in the tiebreak, taking a 1-4 lead with Peterson losing two of those points on her serve. But the Swede bounced back again winning five straight points to go 6-4 up and then converted the second set point to clinch the set in 64 minutes.
She broke the Swiss twice in a relatively easy second set to clinch the contest in an hour and 53 minutes.
In her opening round, Peterson had needed two hours and 49 minutes to beat Marie Bouzkova 7-6 (11-9), 7-6 (8-6).
A semifinalist in the WTA 125 in Bastad this year, Peterson had earlier reached the quarterfinals at the Phillip Island Trophy and in Belgrade/

Determined Martincova Rallies Yet Again
The World No. 60 overcame a first set deficit for a second time in two rounds to advance to the quarterfinals in Chicago.
Martincova, who rallied to beat the third seed Sorana Cirstea in the opening round, bounced back from a set down against Hsieh Su-wei in the Round of 16 to oust the Chinese Taipei player 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 and advance to a fourth quarterfinal of the season.
The 26-year-old Czech, who reached a first career final in Prague last month, broke Hsieh six times in the match while saving five of 10 break points in a match that lasted two hours and 17 minutes.
On Monday, Martincova had beaten Cirstea 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and 58 minutes.
Beginning the year outside the top 100, the Czech has delivered terrific performances since June that has seen her make considerable gains in the rankings.
Peterson v Martincova Prediction and Tip
They have both endured two tough rounds and will be up for another tight contest on Thursday. Martincova may have to deal with a third three-setter in the tournament.
