Tsitsipas Wary Of Tricky Opponent In Opener
While it has been a phenomenal season for Stefanos Tsitsipas, it has not come with the lows he would rather have avoided.
Tsitsipas has reached a career high world number three in the ATP rankings and tasted consistent success ranging from a good run Down Under, the finals at the Mexican Open and a wonderful run on clay with titles at Monte Carlo, Lyon and a point away from the Barcelona title against Rafa Nadal.
The icing on the cake would have been a grand slam title to his name and it looked like he was there as he led Novak Djokovic by two sets to love in the French Open final only to be outdone in the next three sets.
The form and confidence took a dip thereafter with a straight sets loss to Frances Tiafoe in the Wimbledon opener and a none too impressive run at the Tokyo Olympics either.
While it has been a fair run on the US hard courts, Tsitsipas will be disappointed with the loss to Reilly Opelka in Toronto and more so against Alexander Zverev in Cincinnati after being up a double break in the decider.
The Greek will be hoping for a good run this fortnight and more so a good strong showing in the opener.

Murray Looking To Roll Back The Years
Former world number one and three-time major title winner Andy Murray continued his comeback trail on the North American hard courts with a second round loss to Wimbledon semi-finalist Hubert Hurkacz in Cincinnati and another second round loss to Frances Tiafoe in Winston Salem.
Former world number one and three time major champion (including US Open 2012) , Murray has had a rough road back on the tour since the hip surgeries of 2017 and thereafter, including a farewell message at the Australian Open couple years ago, only to return like the fighter he is.
However, Murray has been a shadow of the player he was with two excellent wins in Wimbledon but a one sided loss to Denis Shapovalov only highlighting that he is not at the level to compete with the top 15-20 players in the world on the biggest of stages frequently.
Given the grueling nature of a major and the tour, it is difficult to see him make a particularly deep run here in New York, and an opponent like Tsitsipas only makes the task harder.
Tsitsipas v Murray Prediction and Tip
This is potentially the biggest opening round match on the men’s side, given the star attraction both players bring with themselves. A lot will depend on Murray’s fitness and energy levels, but given his passion for the biggest stage, one can expect him to give it his all.
Tsitsipas is a clear favorite on paper, but there is a lot under consideration, opening match of a major, playing a champion who may have more of the crowd support and the Tiafoe loss fresh in mind. Tstisipas to oust Murray in four set.
Tip: Tsitsipas to win in four sets: 11/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
