Karen Khachanov v Lloyd Harris Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will the first match between the Russian, who is 25, and the South African, who is a year younger.

Khachanov won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, before losing to Zverev, but out-performing the two men, Daniil Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev, who have overtaken him in recent years to become the Russian number one.
And that continued the return to form which had been signalled at Wimbledon, where he reached his second Grand Slam quarter-final, before going down in a five set battle with Dennis Shapovalov, despite leading by a set at one stage.
He has twice made the third round in New York before, most recently last year.
Since his exploits in Japan, he reached the third round in Toronto before losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas and then, in Cincinnati, he beat Harris’ compatriot Anderson, before losing in three sets to Felix Augur Aliassime.

Harris Now South African Number One
Harris has now overtaken Kevin Anderson to become the top ranked South African player and reached his second senior career final in March, where he was beaten by another Russian, Aslan Karatsev, to the title in Dubai.
He is now looking to improve on a Grand Slam record that is modest – his third round in Melbourne in February was the best he has managed, and he has yet to get beyond the second round at Flushing Meadows.
In Washing ton earlier this month, he achieved one of the best results of his career, beating Rafael Nadal in three sets, before bowing out in the next round to Kei Nishikori.
He also reached the third round in Toronto, and then switched to Cincinnati, where he lost to the eventual winner, Zverev, in the second round.
Khachanov v Harris Prediction and Tip
Harris is the type of dangerous opponent that the Russian would have preferred to avoid in the first round, But the South African has a poor record in Grand Slams, whereas Khachanov, after his performances at Wimbledon and the Olympics, is showing signs of a return to form.
