Matteo Berrettini v Oscar Otte Head to Head

28-year-old Oscar Otte is World No. 144 at the moment and has spent the better part of this season on the Challenger circuits.
But following this fourth-round appearance in the US Open as a qualifier – his best showing in a major yet – the German is set to incur a massive boost in confidence that can possibly shape his career and form in future tournaments.
He started his journey with a 3-1 win over Lorenzo Sonego in the opener and built on it with a straight-set victory against Denis Kudla in round two. In the third round, Otte met the Italian veteran Andreas Seppi and defeated him 6-3, 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, to keep his dream run alive.
Otte’s last Grand Slam run entailed a second-round appearance in Wimbledon where he fell to Andy Murray.

Berrettini Survives Marathon against Ivashka
World No. 8 Matteo Berrettini found himself in a pickle against his Belarusian adversary Ilya Ivashka in round three. In a match that lasted for a little under four hours, the Italian took the win with 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. While he had an excellent first-service win rate at 84% and 69 winners, his high count of unforced errors (64 to Ivashka’s 35) may have led to slogfest.
But now that he is over the hurdle, he finds himself in the fourth round at the US Open for the third consecutive season. In 2019, Berrettini was a semifinalist here and this season as a top 10 player, he will look to go further.
The highlights of his current season include titles from Serbia Open and Queen’s Club Championships and runner-up trophies from the Madrid Open and Wimbledon. Berrettini was also a finalist in the ATP Cup and later reached the fourth round in the Australian Open.
