Aryna Sabalenka v Barbora Krejcikova Head to Head
Sabalenka won their only meeting in Linz last year, winning the semifinal in a tight three-set contest.

Sabalenka Stays on a Roll
Barring a little stutter in the opening round, Sabalenka has been nearly flawless through the next three rounds, reaching the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open for the first time in her career.
A semifinalist at Wimbledon this year, the second seed overpowered Elise Mertens 6-4, 6-1 on Monday. The one-hour-and-11-minute match saw the Belarusian hit 22 winners and convert four of five break points while saving three of four that she faced.
Sabalenka however had 10 double faults and 21 unforced errors in the match, with most of them coming in a scratchy first set. She ironed out the issues in the second though, making just two double faults and six unforced errors in the set.
The win over the 15th seed Belgian, follows straight set wins over Tamara Zidansek in the second round and Danielle Collins in the third. Sabalenka wasn’t broken in either of those two matches as she outplayed both the opponents with ease.
The only time the Belarusian was troubled in the tournament was in the opening round against Nina Stojanovic, who took a set of the Belarusian before being bagelled in the third.
A champion in Abu Dhabi and Madrid and a runner-up in Stuttgart, Sabalenka was also a semifinalist at the Canadian Open. So the World No. 2 has been in top form and a 42-14 season is a reflection of that. Can she get her 43rd win on Tuesday?

Krejcikova Holds Off Muguruza’s Comeback Bid
After five failed attempts to qualify for the main draw at the U.S. Open, Krejcikova finally made her debut this year and has looked outstanding in her first four rounds, heading into the quarterfinals without dropping a set.
Her latest victim was Garbine Muguruza who made a valiant effort to come back into the contest but fell short of completing the turnaround. The French Open champion took the first set and then raced to a 4-0 lead in the second, before the Spaniard rallied to win five games in a row. Serving to keep the set alive, Krejcikova fended off three set points to draw level at 5-5.
The Czech needed a medical timeout at 5-6, but she came back to hold serve to love and force the tiebreak, which she eventually won with ease to close out the one-hour-and-53-minute contest 6-3, 7-6 (7-4). She seemed to have difficulty in breathing at the end of the match and needed assistance to go off the court.
With three titles from four finals this season, Krejcikova has probably had the biggest impact in the women’s game in 2021 and she continues to thrive. The Czech breezed past Astra Sharma, Christina McHale and Kamilla Rakhimova in the first three rounds, dropping serve on just two occasions.
She was broken thrice by a tougher opponent in Muguruza but used her skills to good effect to edge out the two-time major winner.
Sabalenka v Krejcikova Prediction and Tip
There were concerns about Krejcikova’s health as she was helped off the court after the match. If she is able to recover quickly, we can see an engaging three-setter, but just in case she takes longer to return to full fitness, Sabalenka will run away with the contest with ease.
Tip: Sabalenka to win in straight sets: 8/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
