Cameron Norrie v Lorenzo Sonego Head to Head
Norrie and Sonego have been involved in just one career, head-to-head meeting till date. The pair met in the last 16 of the Monte-Carlo Masters in 2019, with Sonego going through to win in straight sets.

Norrie Hoping to Get Back to 2021 Form
After making a sensational start to the North American hard-court leg by lifting his maiden Tour title at the Los Cabos Open, Norrie’s form took a southward dip as the Briton finished in the quarter-finals at Atlanta Open followed by a run to the last-16 at Washington, first-round exits at the Canadian Open and the Cincinnati Masters.
Coming into the US Open in the desperate hope of a turnaround, Norrie opened his campaign against Spanish teen sensation Carlos Alcaraz.
The Briton couldn’t put up a fight against the young Spaniard as the latter cantered to a straight-set win to send Norrie crashing out of the tournament.
In his first Tour event since the first-round ouster at the US Open, Norrie will open his campaign against fiery Italian Lorenzo Sonego.
With their only previous head-to-head meeting ending in defeat for the 28th-ranked Briton, Norrie would be itching to get his own back at the Italian.
However, Sonego, as he showed in the manner in which he took World No.1 Novak Djokovic to three sets at the Italian Open this year, is not a rival who is never easily overcome and Norrie would have to be at his best to settle the scores with the Italian in their second career meeting.

Sonego Lost to Rune in Moselle Open Second Round
Coming into the US Open on the back of a last-16 finish at the Cincinnati Masters, Sonego drew lanky German Oscar Otte in the opening round.
And, in what turned out to be an epic four-setter, the German pipped the Italian with a lion-hearted effort. What stood out in that absorbing encounter was that all sets, barring one, went to tiebreaks.
After edging out the German in the opening-set tiebreak, the Italian couldn’t break Otte’s iron resolve as he capped off a remarkable fightback with a win in the fourth-set tiebreak.
Opening his next event, Moselle Open, against this year’s Wimbledon quarter-finalist Marton Fucsovics, Sonego took down the Hungarian in straight sets to set up a second-round meeting with rising Dane Holger Rune.
However, he went down fighting against the Dane in three sets. He has a shot at redemption in San Diego but faces a tricky opponent in Cameron Norrie.
Though he aced the Briton in their only previous head-to-head meeting, Sonego will be wary of a fightback going into Monday’s clash.
Norrie v Sonego Prediction and Tip
While head-to-head record will keep Sonego slightly ahead in the contest, Norrie has the game to go level on head-to-head score this time.
Tip: Norrie to win in straight sets: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
