Gianluca Mager v Miomir Kecmanovic Head to Head
Mager and Kecmanovic have featured in just one career, head-to-head meeting till date. They met in the first round of last year’s US Open, with the Serbian coming through in five sets.

Mager Thumped Mannarino in Opener
Coming into the Sofia Open on the back of two opening-round ousters at the US Open and the Moselle Open, Mager opened his campaign against seasoned Frenchman Adrian Mannarino.
Determined t0 rise from the setbacks in his previous events and return to winning ways, the 78th-ranked Italian hit the ground running and ran up a clear lead in the opening set before eventually winning it 6-3.
Taking the momentum from his victory in the opening set, Mager pressed on the gas in the second set, racing clear with a break of serve and eventually coming through 6-3, 6-2.
However, he faces a tougher challenge in his next against 62nd-ranked Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic. Though their only previous meeting before Wednesday’s encounter ended in defeat for the Italian, Mager will be keen to settle scores this time.
But the Serbian has the reputation of being one of fiercest competitors in the current crop and the Italian has to play out of his skin to finish on the right end of the outcome.

Kecmanovic Battles Past Andreev
After the disappointment of failing to progress beyond the last 16 at the Astana Open, Kecmanovic arrived for the Sofia Open determined to push for the title.
Opening his campaign against unheralded Bulgarian Adrian Andreev, the 62nd-ranked Serbian overcame a stiff challenge from the Bulgarian to pip him in the opening-set tiebreak.
In the second set, however, Kecmanovic came into his own and produced stellar tennis to eventually close out a 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 win.
The Serb faces a testing clash with Italian Gianluca Mager in the battle for the quarter-finals. Though he ended up as victor in their only previous head-to-head meeting, Kecmanovic will be wary of a blowback from the Italian this time.
Mager v Kecmanovic Prediction and Tip
While ranking-wise, Kecmanovic will start as a slight favorite in this last-16 tie, the Italian has the game to spring a surprise on the Serb.
Tip: Mager to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
