Alexander Zverev was on a eleven match winning streak on the hard courts heading into the USOpen and fell short in the semi- finals against Noval Djokivic, having won 16 in a row.
In what had been a good season for Zverev, winning titles at Acupulco and Madrid, as well as making the quarters at the Aussie Open and semis at the French, things took an even better turn for him post Wimbledon.
Zverev won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, defeating Novak Djokovic en route and looked in ominous form at the Cincinnati Masters defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev in the latter stages.
After a successful Laver Cup, Zverer is back on the tour and looking to solidify his relative positioning compared to others and end the season on a high.

Brilliant Summer For Brooksby
It has been an impressive last couple months for 20-year-old American Jenson Brooksby who was runner- up at the Newport Hall of Fame ATP 250 and reached the semi-finals of the ATP 250 Citi Open in Washington DC in August.
He kept the momentum going at the U.S. Open, beginning with a four set win over Winston-Salem Open runner-up Mikael Ymer before knocking out the more experienced Taylor Fritz in the second round.
Playing surprise package of the early part of the season Aslan Karatsev from Russia in the third round, Brooksby fought with his back against the wall over on Court 17 as he was down two sets to one, feeling a few niggles as well.
Brooksby’s US Open campaign ended at the hands of none other than Nova Djokovic but not before he gave a fight to the world number one in the round of 16. The American will be hoping to end the season on a high, going into 2022.
Zverev v Brooksby Prediction and Tip
This makes for an exciting first encounter between two players in excellent form. Zverev has had another good season and will look to end on a high, hopefully into a slam-filled 2022. Brooksby has been looked phenomenal for a rookie all summer as he looks to move up the ranking ladder.
Expect a tight contest with some excellent shot making with the more experienced German clinching it in a decider.
