Angelique Kerber v Katerina Siniakova Head to Head
Kerber is 6-1 against Siniakova. The only time she lost to the Czech was in Rome in 2020.
It will be a fourth meeting between the two this year. The German beat Siniakova at the Gippsland Trophy and then in the final of the Bad Homburg grass court tournament. Most recently, Kerber defeated Siniakova in the second round at Indian Wells last week.

Is Kerber Slipping?
From June to August, the German had looked in terrific form, ending her three-year title drought at Bad Homburg, reaching her first Grand Slam semifinal in three years at Wimbledon and her first WTA 1000 semifinal in four years in Cincinnati.
But the resurgent German has shown signs of slipping in the last few tournaments.
Beaten by Leylah Fernandez in the fourth round at the U.S. Open, she lost in the first round of the Ostrava Open to Jil Teichmann and was outplayed by Paula Badosa in the quarterfinals at Indian Wells. The form is still good and the three-time major winner and former World No. 1 will hope to go deep once again. She is 29-15 for the season, which is much better than the 28-19 and 7-6 record the two previous years.
Expect her to begin with a win and then build from there on.

Can Siniakova Turn the Tables on the German?
Katerina Siniakova is 23-18 from all tournaments this season.
The World No. 53, who won the doubles gold at the Olympics and the French Open doubles title with Barbora Krejcikova, reached her first tour-level final in three years at Bad Homburg in June.
It was a sixth tour-level final for the Czech who has won two tour-level titles.
Recently, Siniakova reached the quarterfinals in Prague and Cleveland but made early exits from her last three tournaments. She was knocked out by Maria Sakkari in the second round at the U.S. Open, beaten in a tough three-setter by Tereza Martincova in Ostrava and then eliminated by Kerber in Indian Wells.
Siniakova was a semifinalist at the Kremlin Cup in 2014, falling to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Since then she made three first-round exits and reached the second round just once in 2017.
Kerber v Siniakova Prediction and Tip
Kerber has dominated this rivalry and has a 3-0 record against the Czech this year. Expect her to continue her perfect record of the year intact with a straight sets win over Siniakova.
