Danielle Collins v Greet Minnen Head to Head

Collins, Hoping for a Deep Run in Linz
Danielle Collins is starting her campaign in the Linz Open as the number three seed with a bye into the second round and will look to live up to the expectations set by herself and her fans.
Looking at her overall season, her win-loss tally stands at an impressive 38-14 while on hard courts, she is 26-10.
The current World No. 29 last featured in the Billie Jean King Cup where she won all three of her encounters against the likes of Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, Sara Sorribes Tormo, and Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Prior to that, Collins featured in the Indian Wells Open where she lost in the third round to Ons Jabeur.
The American had a scintillating run in the WTA Palermo Open and San Jose Open, where she won back to back WTA titles to start her top-tier mace collection. The 27-year-old followed this stint with third-round appearances in the Canadian Open and US Open and later, the quarterfinals in the Chicago Open.
With this kind of form, she will fancy a deep run for her in Linz where her real challenges may come only against the likes of Emma Raducanu and Simona Halep.

Minnen, Shaking Off Poor Form
World No. 74 Greet Minnen defeated France’s Oceane Dodin 6-4, 6-3 to mark her Linz Open proceedings. Now, she finds herself in a difficult game against the superior player that is Collins.
Going by the Belgian’s recent form, it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. A win and a loss in the Bille Jean King Cup was preceded by a couple of early-round exits in the Tenerife Open, Astana Open, and Luxembourg Open.
That said, Minnen has had her moments – notably in the second half of the season when she reached the semifinal in WTA Prague and later, was the runner-up in the ITF Landisville. The 24-year-old built on this spurt with a third-round run at the Flushing Meadows as a qualifier, losing ultimately to Bianca Andreescu.
Collins v Minnen Prediction and Tip
Collins will start this match as the heavy favourite and while she may be pushed to three sets, it is highly unlikely we will see an upset here.
Tip: Collins to win and under 19.5 games in the match: 13/8 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
