Auger- Aliassime Starts Strong In Stockholm
It has been a positive season overall for young Canadian Felix Auger- Aliassime. After a confident run on the grass, where he made the finals at Stuttgart, final four at Halle and the Wimbledon quarter-finals, it was another good run for Felix Auger- Aliassime on the hard courts of North America.
Early losses in Washington DC and Toronto were followed by a fair run in Cincinnati including a win over Matteo Berrettini and coming into New York more confident for the last major of the year.
While it was not the most impressive start to the US Open for him being pushed in the early rounds, the young Canadian put up strong showings to defeat Roberto Bautista Agut, Frances Tiafoe and Carlos Alcaraz to make the final four losing to eventual champion Daniil Medvedev.
Auger-Aliassime has had a less impressive run thereafter with an opening round loss at Indian Wells and although he made the quarter-finals in Vienna, he will be disappointed with a poor second round loss last week at the Paris Masters against German Dominik Koepfer.
The Canadian playing his last event of the year, having failed to qualify for the Tour Finals in Turin next week, has started well here in Stockholm, with a convincing straight sets win over Serbia’s Filip Krajinovic.

Van De Zandschulp Keeps Momentum Flowing
The 26-year-old Dutchman Botic Van De Zandschulp, who made his quarterfinal debut in majors at the U.S. Open this year, was a semifinalist in St. Petersburg a couple weeks ago as well.
His 2021 record reads 16-9 as he reached his fourth quarter-final of the season at Stockholm having also reached that stage in Melbourne-1 at the start of the season, in addition to New York and St. Petersburg listed above.
The Dutchman pulled off a tight match in the previous round against in-form Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in a match that was decided 7-5 in the third set and saw a seesaw of momentum shifts.
Auger- Aliassime v Van de Zandschulp Prediction and Tip
It has been a good run for Dutchman Van de Zandschulp since the US Open and at the same time, Auger-Aliassime has looked below par since his semi-final showing in New York.
Expect a good contest with the Dutchman prevailing in two close sets.
Tip: De Zandschulp to win in straight sets: 10/3 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
