Kaja Juvan v Chloe Paquet Head to Head
There have been no previous matches between Juvan and Paquet at the highest level but they did meet in a $25k competition in 2018. Juvan had won that in straight sets.

Since hitting a ranking of 106th in the world in 2019, Juvan has been struggling to break into and retain her spot in the top 100 on the WTA charts.
In the 28 months that have followed, Juvan has touched a career-best ranking of 90th but hasn’t quite been able to push through the ranks. She is currently 100th in the world and while that gives her direct entries into Grand Slams, Juvan would like to make it through to the top 70 for starters.
Juvan ended the previous season on a win-loss record of 21-20 across all tournaments with just 12 of those victories coming in the main draw of WTA tournaments.
That said, Juvan would be proud of the manner in which she made round three at the Australian Open, and followed it up with an equally sterling third round at Wimbledon where she defeated Belinda Bencic.

Paquet Slowly Climbing Out of Trouble
A mid-season slump in 2021 saw Paquet fall to 274th in the world last season but the recovery was equally spectacular.
Paquet went on to win four ITF titles in the period that followed and while hard court isn’t quite her most preferred surface, she won 14 of the 19 matches she played on it.
What that meant was the Frenchwoman managed to achieve her career-best ranking of 117th on the WTA charts before ending the season on 119th.
An injury that finished off her chances to win her fifth title of the season and a first round loss in Angers might not have been the best way to end the year but Paquet has shown enough signs to suggest she would be a handful for her opponent.
