Spanish Clay Court Player Munar
Like Anderson, Munar has also been in Grand Slam finals, although in his case it was as a junior, when he finished runners-up in the singles at the French open, and then won the event in doubles at the same tournament a year later.
That both those finals were on clay provide an indication as to the strength of his game – although he has yet to win a senior singles title, he has appeared in 22 finals on the junior tours, 19 of which were on clay.
He begam 2021 with victory in the Challenger event in Antalya, and was then a beaten finalist in Turkey again, Spain, and Brazil.
And he then reached his first ATP final, losing an all-Spanish affair to Pablo Carreno-Busta again on clay, in Andalucía.
One of those who chose not to compete in the Australian Open last year, he had reached the second round in Melbourne two years ago.

Can Anderson Stay Fit This Year?
Twice a Grand Slam finalist, and once ranked as high as five in the world, Anderson has suffered several years of injury problems, with a series of knee complaints.
He returned to the tour in 2020, but that again was very much a matter of stop and start, with his right knee continuing to bother him.
However, he showed what he was capable of when fit by winning the Hall of Fame Open on grass in Rhode Island, his first senior title for two years, and his seventh in all.
Now the challenge for the season head is to stay fit on a consistent basis, and to try and climb the world rankings once more.
Munar v Anderson Prediction and Tip
.Although Munar has age on his size, the surface tends to favour the South African, and this should be a good test of his fitness ahead of the coming season.
