Jannik Sinner v Arthur Rinderknech Head to Head
Sinner and Rinderknech have been involved in two career head-to-head outings till date and are tied at two wins apiece. They last played each other in the quarter-finals at Antwerp last year, with Sinner breezing to a straight-set win.

Sinner Hopes to Get Italy Moving
In what turned out to be a stellar last year for Sinner, the Italian lifted a volley of titles and finished the season at No.10 in singes rankings. A precocious tennis talent who is among the young guns billed to take the Big 3 legacy forward in the coming years, Sinner, alongside Casper Ruud of Norway, blitzed up the tennis charts last season through a string of impressive wins and title lifts.
While his last event, the ATP Finals in Turin, or Torino as it’s known locally in Italy, ended in a group-stage exit for Sinner, he did end up on the champion’s podium in Antwerp, Sofia and Washington to cap off a memorable tennis season.
Shouldering the hopes of his home fans alongside compatriots Matteo Berrettini, Fabio Fognini, Lorenzo Sonego and Simone Bolelli, Sinner will hope to get his new season off to a blazing start at the calendar team event on Tuesday.
The current World No.10 will open Italy’s campaign against rising Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech. While Sinner will fancy starting the new season with a win, he faces a rival who has had his measure before.
In fact, it was the Frenchman who came out a winner in their maiden head-to-head clash at Lyon last year. However, Sinner got his own back on Rinderknech in Antwerp later in the season.
The young Italian will be mindful of the threat that Rinderknech brings and could ill-afford to be complacent going into Tuesday’s clash.

Rinderknech Looks to Give a Better Account
After Ugo Humbert put France ahead with stunning upset victory over World No.2 Russian Daniil Medvedev, it was left to Rinderknech to pull his country further in the lead. However, he undid Humbert’s stellar work with a loss against Russian Roman Safiullin.
After winning the opening set, the Frenchman lost the next two to bring the contest on an even keel. He would, however, hope to give a better account of himself in his next against Sinner.
However, in the Italian, he faces a tough rival who climbed the tennis charts with some eye-catching performances last year and will be handful in this first-round ATP Cup clash.
Though Rinderknech is tied 1-1 with Sinner in head-to-head battles, he would be up against a far more matured Italian that the one he beat in Lyon earlier last season and has to be at hid very best if he is to upend the current World No.10.
Sinner v Rinderknech Prediction and Tip
While Sinner and Rinderknech are even on the head-to-head count, the Italian will hold a slight advantage over the Frenchman going into this group-stage clash on account of better recent form.
