Madison Brengle is ranked 59th in the world but features predominantly on the ITF circuit. But if she keeps up bulldozing her way past the competition at that level, she will soon be playing WTA main draws frequently.

Nao Hibino was handed a place into the main draw of the Melbourne Summer Set on a tea tray. The Japanese World No. 129 did not need to lift her racket after her opponent Danka Kovinic was forced to pull out for an undisclosed injury issue in their second-round qualifying match.
The Montenegrin’s documented injury troubles continue to haunt her in her quest for progress. Hibino, meanwhile, will look to win her first main draw match since upsetting Bernarda Pera at last year’s Wimbledon Championships.
The former World No. 56 looked in top form in her dissection of Katarzyna Kawa on Monday. Hibino dropped just three games before completing a rousing 6-3 6-0 win.
Hibino has a knack for defying the odds at times. Her resume boasts of wins over the likes of Elina Svitolina, Jelena Ostapenko, and Sloane Stephens in the past couple of years. Who can underestimate her chances of doing the same on Wednesday?
