Maddison Inglis v Danka Kovinic Head to Head
Maddison Inglis and Danka Kovinic have not played each other at any level before this.

Inglis Gets Good News Ahead of Australian Open
Maddison Inglis was announced as one of the recipients of this year’s Australian Open wild cards. Inglis is among of a handful of Australians to have been granted direct entry into the main draw, joining the likes of Sam Stosur, Daria Saville and Storm Sanders.
The 23-year-old has not been ranked higher than 112th in the WTA rankings and did not conceal her delight at the prospect of headlining her third main draw appearance at her home Slam. It is her favorite Major, but she is yet to win a match at Melbourne Park.
Inglis features predominantly on the ITF tour, but she hasn’t won a title nor make a final at that level in the past year. She went 6-11 on the ITF circuit in 2021, making it her worst return since 2013.
Her 2022 campaign began in Adelaide 1 last week, losing in straight sets to Shelby Rogers. Inglis will get a second bite of the cherry to impress in Adelaide this week. But it looks like the draw has not been kind to her as she is slated to meet former Top 50 player Danka Kovinic.

New Year, Same Old Story For Kovinic
Injuries continue to haunt Danka Kovinic. The 27-year-old launched her 2022 season with plenty of optimism but barely lasted more than one round in her first appearance of the year this past week.
Kovinic had dispatched Alexandra Osborne in a routine fashion in the first round of qualifying at the Melbourne Summer Set 1. And she appeared well placed to take down Nao Hibino for a spot in the main draw. But for an undisclosed reason – likely an injury – she was forced to pull out on short notice.
Assuming the Montenegrin is fully fit for one last dash before the Australian Open, she will look to keep her ranking afloat inside the Top 100.
Currently, she has just about managed to keep her head on top of the water at No.99 in the rankings. But another spell on the sidelines could cost her big time. And a Top 100 exit could be on the cards for the first time in three years.
Inglis v Kovinic Prediction and Tip
Health continues to dictate Kovinic’s fortunes. She is a player with bags of potential as evident from that sizzling run to the Charleston final last season. If Kovinic’s body holds up, I fancy her chances of claiming an upset over the lower-ranked Australian.
Tip: Kovinic to win: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
