Cilic Aims To Continue Run
2014 US Open winner and two-time Grand Slam runner-up from Croatia, Marin Cilic has had a difficult last couple of seasons with his ranking dropping considerably due to a mix of injury lay-offs and indifferent form and results.
Cilic looked to be getting back into form with two ATP titles in 2021- the Stuttgart Open on grass and later in the year, the St. Petersburg Open.
The Croat had a good run in Adelaide last week kicking off the season, where he prevailed comfortably against Brazilian Thiago Montiero and Serbian Laslo Dere before falling to Next Gen Karen Khachanov who is looking to revive his young career.
Seeded fourth here in week two, Cilic played rising Spaniard Jaume Munar in his opener this week and despite a good contest, the Croat prevailed in straight sets.

Paul Aiming At Deep Run Ahead of Aussie Open
American Tommy Paul ended 2021 on a high winning his first ever ATP title at Stockholm right at the end of the season.
On his way to his maiden title, Paul put together some notable scalps in the form of Taylor Fritz, Andy Murray, Frances Tiafoe and Denis Shapovalov.
It was a mixed start to the season last week for the American as he was pushed to three sets in both his first two rounds, but eventually prevailed against Jiri Vesely and Taro Daniel. However, his campaign came to an end in the quarter-finals against top seed Gael Monfils in straight sets.
Paul started this week well with a win against compatriot Frances Tiafoe, and now will be hoping to better his run than the second week in Adelaide and set himself up confidently for the Aussie Open in a week from now.
Cilic v Paul Prediction and Tip
Both players looked good last week and are looking to better their runs this week. Expect a tight clash, with the experience of Cilic prevailing in a decider.
