Barbora Krejcikova v Victoria Azarenka Head to Head
Azarenka is 1-0 having won her only meeting against Krejcikova in Ostrava two years ago.

Krejcikova Rallies Past Ostapenko
Having not gone past the second round of the Australian Open in her only two appearances in 2020 and 2021, the Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova has found her way to the Round of 16 this year.
The World No. 4 bounced back after an ordinary start to beat Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko in the third round on Friday.
Krejcikova failed to convert four break points in the first set and got broken twice as Ostapenko took the set in 41 minutes. The Czech found herself 1-3 down in the second but rebounded quickly with a break and then broke again to take the match into the decider. Krejcikova enjoyed an early break of serve and then held on to the advantage to close out the match 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in 2 hours and 10 minutes.
This was the reigning French Open champion’s toughest win in Melbourne this year. She had demolished Germany’s Andrea Petkovic 6-2, 6-0 in the first round and China’s Xiyu Wang 6-2, 6-3 in the second round.
Krejcikova, who made a mark as a singles player with an outstanding 44-18 season last year, which included three titles from five finals, has had a good start to 2022. She was a finalist in Sydney earlier this month and Friday’s win improved her to 6-1 this year.

Azarenka Hustles Past Svitolina
Two-time Australian Open champion is playing like a champion again in what’s been the most successful major in her career.
A winner in 2012 and 2013, Victoria Azarenka reached the fourth round this year with a stunning win over No. 15 seed Elina Svitolina.
Dominating the match from the start, the Belarusian dropped just three points on her serve in the first set and won 25 of 35 points to bagel the Ukrainian in just 26 minutes. Azarenka broke again in the first game of the second set and then took a sizeable 5-2 lead after breaking a second time in the set. Svitolina tried to delay the inevitable by saving five match points in the next game but couldn’t save the sixth as Azarenka won 6-0, 6-2 in just 67 minutes.
The imperious Azarenka is looking like a player to beat in the tournament. Such has been her dominance that she has dropped just one service game in the first three rounds. That was in the first match against Hungary’s Panna Udvardy. The Belarusian won that contest 6-3, 6-1. She was ruthless in the second round as well, defeating Jil Teichmann 6-1, 6-2.
A quarterfinalist in the warm up event in Adelaide, Azarenka is 5-1 this year. She will be looking to reach her first quarterfinal at the Australian Open since 2016.
Krejcikova v Azarenka Prediction and Tip
This promises to be an entertaining Round of 16 clash. Both are coming into the contest in top form, but the way Azarenka has been flying past her opponents she will be a slight favourite to win this contest.
Tip: Azarenka to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
