Miomir Kecmanovic v Gael Monfils Head to Head
The pair have played each other once before, at the Paris Masters last November, Monfils coming from behind to win in three sets.

Kecmanovic Prospering in Djokovic’s Absence
Kecmanovic is prospering in the absence from the tournament of fellow Serb Novak Djokovic.
Not only did that mean he did not have to play him in the first round as originally scheduled, but his removal from his part of the draw has helped him reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.
Not that his own efforts have not had something to do with it.
He breezed past Djokovic’s replacement, the lucky loser, Salvatore Caruso of Italy, in the first round and then produced a fine performance to beat the American, world number 41, Tommy Paul, in straight sets.
On Friday, he met another Italian, Lorenzo Sonego, the number 25 seed, and, although he was made to fight harder than in his previous two matches, still rose to the challenge.
He took the first set courtesy of the only break – both men had other break opportunities, but none were taken.
When Sonego was broken in the opening game of the second set, the Serb seemed to be in control, but the Italian hit back to level, and it went to a tie-break that developed into a mini-marathon. Each held three set points, before Sonego was able to level the match.
However, two service breaks in succession in the third set allowed Kecmanovic to restore his advantage.
Sonego seemed to be fighting back again when he broke in the opening game of the fourth set, but then he dropped his serve again, and serving to stay in the match, was unable to prevent Kecmanovic breaking him for what proved to be the final time.

Adelaide Winner Monfils Untroubled So Far
Monfils, who won the Adelaide warm-up event, is in the fourth round in Melbourne for the fifth time in his long career, although he has never been beyond the quarter-final stage.
So far, though, he has been largely untroubled, with three straight set victories to his name.
His campaign began with a match against the Argentine clay court player, Federico Coria, the world number 61, who he eased past for the loss of just five games.
That was the same number of games he conceded to his second round opponent, Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan, the world number 37.
The number 18 seed Christian Garin of Chile made him work a bit harder, at least in the first set of their match on Friday.
After the Frenchman secured an early break, Garin fought back to level the match, and, in the resultant tie-break, he was the first to go a mini-break up. However, two dropped served of his own gave Monfils the chance to close out the set.
Two breaks of serve put Monfils in control of the second set and, although he surrendered one of them, another break underlined his position.
A sequence of three successive breaks against serve early in the third set put Monfils firmly in the driving seat, and Garin’s challenge ended when he dropped his serve again when serving to stay in the match.
Kecmanovic v Monfils Prediction and Tip
Kecmanovic has taken full advantage of the helping hand fate has dealt him, but Monfils has far greater experience of playing in the advanced stages of a Grand Slam and has been in good form since arriving in Australia.
He will start favourite to reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne for the second time in his career.
