Petra Kvitova v Jule Niemeier Head to Head
This is the first meeting between the two players on the WTA Tour.

Kvitova Off to a Wobbly Start
So far in 2022, former World No. 2 Petra Kvitova is yet to produce an impressive result. She played in three tournaments so far – Adelaide 1, Sydney, and the Australian Open – and ended up losing in the early rounds.
As a result, her tally now stands at 1-3 and the losses have come at the hands of Priscilla Hon, Ons Jabeur, and Sorana Cirstea. These form woes have pushed her out of the top 10, down to the #23rd position – a first such feat since 2017.
All things considered, Kvitova has been struggling with her form for most of the last season. After winning the Qatar Open title, she reached the mid-rounds in a handful of tournaments and the semifinal in Ostrava and Bad Homburg. However, she failed to deliver a substantial run and incurred several losses to the lower-ranked players on the WTA Tour.
That said, the 31-year-old has got quite a pedigree on the circuit with titles across three decades, including three Grand Slam finals. In St. Petersburg, she won the title in 2018 and has reached the quarterfinal in her last two appearances.

Niemeier Survives Qualifiers
22-year-old Jule Niemeier started in the competition as a qualifier and defeated the likes of Anna Bondar, Natalia Vikhlyantseva, and Erika Andreeva to reach the main draw.
This marks her first successful run to the main draw in 2022. In the Melbourne Set 1 and Aus Open, the German was beaten in the qualifiers – respectively by Qinwen Zheng and Arianne Hartono.
At the moment, Niemeier is the World No. 113 and most of her previous season has been along such lines. Of course, there were a few exceptions where she did impress – a semifinal run in Strasbourg and Bad Homburg. She also won an ITF title in France.
Kvitova v Neimeier Prediction and Tip
Kvitova should win this one, given her overall form and experience. She has a good opportunity here to shake off the blues and get the season going. Plus, the fact that she is available at a rather good price makes it a bet worth backing.
Tip: Kvitova to win: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
